Delete your SortNotes account
You can delete your account and all its data yourself, at any time, in the app or on the web. It takes two taps and happens at once.
In the app (iPhone, Android or web)
- Log in and tap your initials (top right).
- Optional: tap ⬇ Download all my notes to keep a copy.
- Tap Delete my account at the bottom, and type your email address to confirm.
Without the app
Write to [support@your-domain] from the email address of your account, asking us to delete it. We delete it within 7 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted at once: your account, name and email, all your notes, lists, photos and groups, your backups, your shares, your sign-ins (Google, Apple and others), your connected calendars and your notification settings.
- Removed from other people's devices: notes and groups you shared with them.
- Kept without any link to you: usage statistics (for example "a note was written"), which never contain what you wrote.
- Kept by law: invoices for paid plans, kept by our payment provider Stripe for as long as tax law requires.
- Not deleted: events SortNotes added to your own Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar stay in that calendar; delete them there if you wish.
A paid plan is cancelled when the account is deleted.
